Bishop Mylo blesses Hi-Speed Sewing Machines and Sewers

TAGUIG CITY. His Excellency Mylo Hubert C. Vergara, D.D. Bishop of Pasig, blessed the 14 new Hi-Speed sewing machines which were awarded to 14 residents of the Samama 1 Compound, Ligid, Tipas, Taguig City last May 21, 2017. The intended poor women recipients were also members of the Pondo ng Pinoy and Ugnayon (BEC).
The Pondo ng Pinoy assisted project is the Basic Ecclesial Community (B.E.C.) Sewing Livelihood Program of the St. John the Baptist Parish-B.E.C.
“The communion of communities is very much alive in the Diocese of Pasig because we have come up with projects like these with the cooperation of the Diocesan B.E.C., Diocesan Pondo ng Pinoy, Fr. Pol Matilos and Bishop Mylo Vergara,” said Ms. Beth Soriano, Lay Coordinator of the Diocese of Pasig Pondo ng Pinoy.
Rev. Fr. Pol Matilos officiated a Thanksgiving Mass before the blessing of the Hi-Speed sewing machines and Sewer residents of the Samama 1 Compound. (Conrad Alvez)
