Pasig Clergy Celebrate St. John Marie Vianney Sports Day
PASIG CITY – In the concluded sports fest among the priests of the Diocese of Pasig last August 6, 2012, the Blue team won over the Red Team, 55 to 50.
The Blue team is headed by Pasig Bishop Mylo Hubert Vergara and followed by Frs. Orly Cantillon, Jorge Bellosillo, Darwin Calderon, Renier Llorca, Emmanuel Hipolito, Romie Ontuca, Ramil Marcos, Hokan Samson, Apolinario Matilos, Vic Virtudazo, Joselito Jopson, Amando Litana, Hernan Mendoza, Paul Balagtas, Daniel Estacio, Simplicio Roxas, Ernesto Peros, Marcelino Selmar, Arnel Barba, Arnold Eramis, Feride Jauod, Anwar Mari Adona, Mark Quesada, Mar Baranda, Loreto Sanchez Jr., Constantino Soriao, Bong Natividad, and Jimmy Montecillo and Rev. Edmond Reynaldo.
The priests participated in basketball, volleyball, roller coaster, skin the snake, and to-o-war games.
Bishop Mylo Hubert Vergara, in a mass observing the feast of St. John Marie Vianney, patron of Parish priests, focused on the relationship between Jesus and the apostles. “In the company of Jesus, Peter, James, and John were happy. Are we also happy being with one another. Is the clergy happy with the Bishop and vice-versa?” the Bishop challenged.
Fr. Mandy Litana, vicar for clergy, reported the importance of the clergy sports fest. “It is an opportunity for the members of the clergy to come together to play and enjoy.”
