The Media and Public Affairs Commission of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral will hold two (2)FREE seminars for 2016. Originally, we’ve made these seminars specifically as the “starting point” of all media ministers in ICC parish. Later on, we have opened it to other media ministers of the Immaculate Conception Vicariate Media and Public Affairs as well.

News-writing Seminar – January 23, 2016
The purpose of the seminar is to provide practical, real world skills in writing for journals. The seminar will provide a bird’s eye view on the process of making newspapers. This way, the media minister will have an understanding of how his role affects others members of the publication process.
Our speaker for this seminar is Angelo Garcia. Angelo is a former newspaper journalist and had spent 10 years as a features writer for one of the country’s leading broadsheets, the Manila Bulletin. Angelo has written under the newspaper’s various sections including the Lifestyle and Campus pages. He is now a blogger and an entrepreneur.
This seminar will provide a bird’s eye view of the entire production process: from pre-production to post-production. But as the title suggests, we shall focus (pun intended) heavily on camera operations as this is the most needed skill for ICC media’s type of work. Most of the skills to be taught in this seminar will be useful for everyone, whether you shoot with a cinema-camera or with a cellphone. Some areas in photography will also be covered.
Speaker is yours truly, Clyde Villegas. I’ve been in the video production business for a little over a decade and has directed and produced several videos for companies like Cebu Pacific, Unilab, Swatch, Stabilo, local and foreign government agencies, and some other medium to large corporations within and outside of Asia.
Both these seminars are FREE, but are open to Immaculate Conception Vicariate Media and Public Affairs members ONLY.
