Vicariate NewsTAGUIG CITY-Diocese of Pasig Media Head Fr. Jopson meets Sto.Niño Vicariate Media

Fr. Lito Jopson, Diocese of Pasig Media Minister met with the Sto. Niño Vicariate Media for a Media Updating and seminar last March 12, 2016 at the Sto. Niño de Taguig Parish conference room.

Some 20 participants from different parishes under the Vicariate attended the media updaating.

Among the parishes present were the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish, Maria Reina ng mga Apostoles Parish, Our Lady of the Poor Parish, and Sto. De Taguig Parish, the host parish.

Some parishes who confirmed their attendance failed to attend the conference like Sagrada Familia and St. Joseph Parish.

Fr. Jopson, for a start, discussed the communication process or model by Berlo and some of the input sharings from his media meetings with other vicariates in the

diocese.
He underscored the need for commitment among media members as well as the importance of recruiting members who are ready, willing and able.

One of the invited guests, Bro. James Wong, head of the Social Communication (SoComm) of the Diocese of Antipolo, shared his best practice on how he organized from scratch their social communication ministry of their diocese.

Likewise, Bro. Patrick Manlapaz of EWTN facilitated the short media workshop via brain storming session during which the participants identified their media ministry-related problems, the causes of these problems and the solutions.

During the conference, Sto. Nino Vicariate Media Coordinator Sis. Lou Dominguiano suggested to Fr. Jopson that they held an election of new officers to give chance to others who may want to lead the Vicariate Media.

The priest and the vicariate media officers and members, however, reaffirmed their approval of the continuation of Sis. Dominguiano as the Vicariate media coordinator.

Fr. Jopson also called on all media members who want to volunteer in the Diocese production team they are now organizing for the upcoming TV program for Pasig Bishop Mylo Hubert Vergara with the youth to be aired on TV Maria.

The workshop ended with a proposed follow up meeting of Vicariate Media for the focused group discussion with the agenda of revisiting the Vicariate media annual plan slated on April 1, 2016 at 1pm to be held in the same venue. – By Lou Dominguiano
