Vicarial Assembly 2012 – 2013 Ut Unum Sint!

By: Jose Bobby T. Casimiro-Sto. Niño De Taguig Parish

To conglomerate different people from diverse places is not an easy task. There seems to be a lot of preparations to be deliberated, from planning to directing, from day one to the activity date itself. From the Diocese of Pasig’s calendar, month of August has been marked as the “First Vicariate Assembly” for Sto. Niño Vicariate partaking Rev. Fr. Paulino G. Balagtas compelling the role of Vicar Forane.
The assembly aims to bring down the first of the four Catechetical modules to the faithful. Without a doubt, this is one big chance to listen as well to each Parish participants’ pastoral needs and concerns that must be reflected and be addressed in line with the Diocesan vision and mission.
As a final point, August 18, 2012 has been single minded to be the “First Vicarial Assembly: Ut Unum Sint! which was piloted at the Sto. Niño De Taguig Parish, Signal Village, Taguig.
The activity was successfully well attended by nine different Parishes under Sto. Niño Vicariate:

  1. Maria, Reyna ng mga Apostoles with 42 attendees.
  2. Mother of Perpetual Help Quasi with 55 attendees.
  3. Our Lady of Holy Rosary with 21 attendees.
  4. Our Lady of the Poor with 23 attendees.
  5. Sagrada Familia with 36 attendees.
  6. St, Joseph with 39 attendees.
  7. St. Michael Chaplaincy with 28 attendees.
  8. St. Vincent Ferrer Quasi with 47 attendees.
  9. Sto. Niño De Taguig with 127 attendees.

Apart from the outline being tackled on this day, it also served as a general welcome for the newest Parish member of Sto. Niño Vicariate. Looking at the list of attendees, I am referring to St. Vincent Ferrer Quasi. I was fortunate enough to have personally spoken with their very own Parish priest, Rev. Fr. Reynaldo B. Reyes. With our short talk, I have learned that they justrecently joined the Sto. Niño Vicariate last July 2012. This new member of the Vicariate is located at the Palar Village, Pinagsama, Taguig City with Immaculate Conception and Sto. Niño as its chapels.
The flow of assembly was prepared in an orderly mode making all efforts of the organizers to simply alleviate any anticipated qualms.
The topic to be discussed actually remained enigma to most of the participants until A Glimpse of the Past: From Manila to Pasig “Tracing A Rich Heritage of Faith” was conversed. Rev. Fr. Daniel Estacio was very eloquent during his presentation.
More so, the representatives from each Parish were given such opportunity to share their Parish’ programme. Most likely, they shared mutual platform with a common goal which is to better serve their respective parishioners. Here are some of the scribbled activities:
