Free Haircut For 1,000 Kids
MANILA, Philippines — Nine-year-old Cesar Terciano; Jeffrey Rambawa, 10; Leonard Lavadia, 10; James Edwin Tajus, 11, all Grade 4 pupils; and Joel J. Villanueva, 36, have one thing in common yesterday.
They were treated to a free haircut by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) at the Tenement Elementary School (TES), Tenement, Bicutan in Taguig City.
TESDA launched yesterday the free haircut project in Taguig City for 1,000 school kids, on the request of Mayor Ma. Laarni “Lani” L. Cayetano.
Obviously for fun, and show the school kids the way to have a clean start this school year, TESDA Director General Villanueva had his hair cut by Cinderella Gallego, a TESDA “specialista,” who graduated at the agency last April after a six-month course on hair dressing.
